The Creative Writing Camp is a two-week summer session for high school students (entering freshmen through graduating seniors) interested in creative writing. The location and dates for the 2018 Creative Writing Camp will be finalized shortly. The Creative Writing Camp culminates with a final public reading on the last day and the publication of a student anthology showcasing the campers’ work.
The Creating Writing Camp will feature writing workshops in fiction, poetry, and non-fiction; small groups with experienced teachers from CWC’s spring after-school program; feedback on student writing; readings by local writers; and electives on a variety of writing-related topics.
Registration for the 2019 summer camp will open in the spring. When registration opens, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org with the following information:
1. Student’s Name
2. Mailing address
3. Home phone number and/or cell phone number of a parent/guardian
4. Student’s grade in high school (freshman through seniors are welcome to attend)
5. The student’s preferred email address for all future CWC correspondence, and a parent email address
6. Prior experience, if any, in the CWClub or CWCamp
While no previous creative writing experience is necessary, an interest in imaginative exercises and a passion for learning is highly recommended. We are very excited to hear from you, and even more excited to work with you!
