Enrollment for our Summer 2018 UA Young Writers Camp (previously Creative Writing Camp) will open Spring 2018.

We are running the camp a bit differently from last year, and more information on this can  be found at k12summer.ua.edu/

A registration page, along with a new website, will be up shortly. We look forward to hearing from you!

Please send all queries to uacw@ua.edu

In the spring semester of 2018, the Creative Writing Club will be on hiatus due to Professor Behn being away on sabbatical.

CWC will be back in Spring 2019!  However, Creative Writing Camp will meet as usual in June 2018 (details forthcoming on this website). To sign up for Summer Creative Writing Camp 2018, click on the CWCamp tab for directions.

We appreciate your interest in the Creative Writing Club. Feel free to contact us with any questions at uacreativewritingclub@gmail.com.

Welcome to The University of Alabama’s Creative Writing Club (CWC) website! The Creative Writing Club offers two programs to Tuscaloosa-area high school students. The Creative Writing Club takes place during the spring semester on Wednesdays after school, and the Creative Writing Camp takes place for two weeks during the month of June, Monday through Friday in the afternoons. Both programs are free and open to currently enrolled high school and homeschool students, grades 9 through 12. All CWC activities are taught by University of Alabama MFA in Creative Writing graduate students under the direction of Professor Robin Behn, a poet on the faculty in the English Department at UA.
